In Isaiah 60:5, we find a powerful prophetic declaration:

“Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.” — Isaiah 60:5 (KJV)

This verse speaks not just to spiritual blessings but also hints at economic empowerment. The phrase “the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee” is rich in meaning, especially when we understand the connection between wealth, trade, and flow—also known today as currency.

The Sea as a Symbol of Wealth

Throughout history, the sea has represented trade routes, wealth, and the global economy. Nations rose and fell based on their access to the sea and the abundance it carried. From spices to gold, oil to textiles, the sea was a channel through which the world’s wealth was transported.

So, when the Bible says “the abundance of the sea shall be converted to you”, it prophetically means:

• Resources will be redirected toward you.
• Global opportunities will find their way to your doorstep.
• Economic favor will shift in your direction.

Currency = Flow

The word “currency” is derived from the Latin word “currere”, which means “to run” or “to flow.” Currency isn’t just about money—it’s about movement. Money moves, and it flows toward value. If you’re not positioned to attract it, it will flow right past you.

How Does the Abundance Convert?

The conversion of the sea’s abundance into tangible wealth happens when you become a channel of value. You must attract the flow of currency, and that requires a strategic positioning. In business terms, people often talk about a UVP (Unique Value Proposition). But in the Kingdom economy, there’s a better framework: the 3SP.

The 3SP Framework: Attracting the Flow of Currency

1. Solving Problems

The greatest companies and individuals are problem-solvers. When you solve a problem, you create value, and where there is value, money flows. Whether it’s a product, a service, or a system, if it solves a pressing problem, people will pay for it.

What problem are you solving? The more urgent and relevant it is, the more valuable you become.

2. Serving People

Wealth is the byproduct of service. Businesses are simply structured systems that serve people at scale. Jesus said, “The greatest among you shall be your servant.” When you meet the needs of people genuinely and consistently, you create impact and influence, both of which attract income.

It’s Bishop Oyedepo that said, God told me, don’t raise money, raise people and you will ever have enough money you will ever need for ministry. Raising people is all about serving them with your God’s given gift, His insights and His deposit inside of you.

Don’t chase money—serve people, and the currency of money will flow to you.

3. Selling Products

You must learn to sell. Selling is not manipulation; it’s offering something of value in exchange for money. People generally hate to be sold to. But when the previous 2 stages in the framework is worked on perfectly, selling becomes just presenting them with a choice. The widow in 2 Kings 4 wasn’t told to pray more—she was told to sell the oil. Selling creates a value exchange that unlocks divine provision. The blessings of God comes to you through the works of your hands. So, what is in your hand?

If you don’t have anything in your hand, you can not create wealth. God asked Moses, what is in your hand? Elijah asked the widow, what do you have? So, when it comes to wealth creation, there must be something tangible that will spur the abundance.

If you’re not selling something, you’re not positioned to receive the flow.

Time Is a Convertible Resource

One more key: time is your most valuable resource, and it is convertible. When you take control of your time, you can convert it into learning, earning, or building. The wealthy don’t just spend time—they invest it. Your breakthrough is often just a moment of insight away—and that moment usually comes when you’re in a place of rest, reflection, and preparation.

Final Thoughts: Be the Channel

The promise of Isaiah 60:5 is not automatic. You must become a channel through which the abundance can flow. That means positioning yourself in a place of purpose and productivity using the 3SP:

• Solve a Problem
• Serve People
• Sell a Product

When you do this, you no longer just hope for prosperity—you attract it. Currency begins to flow toward you, and the abundance of the sea is converted unto you.

So ask yourself today: Am I a dam, blocking the flow? Or am I a channel, receiving and releasing value?

Start with what you have. The sea is moving—get into the flow.
