Wizkid Top African Artist Spotify Monthly Earners with $1 Million

Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, has been ranked Africa’s highest-earning artist on Spotify.

According to data from the music analytics platform Chart Masters, Wizkid generates an impressive $1 million per month from the streaming service, making him the continent’s top earner.

This ranking highlights the dominance of Nigerian artists globally, with Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy trailing in second place with $782,148 in monthly earnings. Tems follows closely in third with $660,210. South African singer Tyla is the only non-Nigerian on the list, earning $607,804 and securing the fourth spot.

Wizkid’s rise to prominence began in 2010 with his breakout hit “Holla at Your Boy.” His international appeal soared after collaborating with Drake on “One Dance,” introducing him to a global audience.
